Autumn Lights
As the Earth’s tilted axis yields the different seasons, in the later months of the year the Sun is naturally lower in the sky, giving way to brighter, shimmering beams. Copper, a primal reddish- gold metal, features a vast range of warm tonalities that evoke the gilded season and its slanting light, and perfectly references the fleeting feeling brought about by this time when tree leaves acquire warm tones.
Obsidian, the blackest of black stones, well represents the increasing darkness that distinguishes this time of the year, but its reflective properties enhance the unique, warm brightness that only manifests itself in this season.
Like autumn’s fast-changing light, each piece in this collection rapidly changes as their surroundings are reflected onto the glossy obsidian slabs, mirroring the world around and shining a warm light.
